Born Nicholas Smitley in Mission Viejo, California on June 5, 1984, and a Henderson, Nevada resident since birth. His love for drums and rock and roll, started at the age of 9 during a family reunion in Mechanicville, New York.
After starting multiple small businesses in the city of Henderson so Nick could pursue his passion of music. His notoriety came in 2005 with the SpliffStar Threads clothing line co-started with his wife Colleen. The two made their US debut at the 2005 Seattle Hempfest
Shortly after his debut as a clothing line owner he started working as a producer and promoter being in the first wave of promoters to bring mainstream celebrities back to the counterculture industry, with the assistance of High Times Magazine, One of his parties having made the cover in Aug 2008, That same year Nick's clothing line SpliffStar also made the cover of Skunk Magazine and had the opportunity to provide celebrity appearances to the PlayBoy Mansion for MPP including: the Kottonmouth KIngs, Justice Howard, and former Anthrax singer Neil Turbin
In 2009 Nick made a name for himself, making headlines, throwing private parties at The Palms Las Vegas with “Major Celebrity Appearances” including Busta Rhymes, rapper Too Short, and America's "First" Next Top Model Adrienne Curry
In 2012 thru the introduction of Bruce Merrin to Splash producer Jeff Kutash, Nick was recognized as a "drumming producer" and asked to produce a Taiko drum act for Landry’s, Eva Longoria's and Morton's“SHe” nightclub in Las Vegas’ City Center.
During this time he played with a variety of acts including Gold songwriter Kenny Lerum and 2015 OC Weekly’s Best Hip-Hop Act C4MULA
In 2014 Nick and his wife DJ Queen C put together their Drum and DJ act Known as Vermillion Code and has performed over 700 Events since.
2016 he was Executive producer of the online series "The Essence of MMA" staring World Kickboxing Champion Tim Lane as the host, as well as Hall of Fame inductees Randy Couture & Sugar Ray Sefo. Also including UFC superstars Miesha Tate, Bryan Caraway, Coach Robert Follis and Haim Gozali
In October 2019 Triple Kick emerged as a solo artist with his single "Real Good" featuring Versa Dragon & Lane Newman. Then Following it 2 months later with his tribute to Lead Belly "House of the Rising Sun" featuring former Steppenwolf Lead Singer Bob Simpson.
